Back when the gold fever was still strong in the Rau­ris­er Val­ley the leg­endary Ignaz Rojach­er thought ahead by plan­ning to build an alpine guest­house in Kolm Saig­urn on the hill­s­lope pro­vid­ing the most glo­ri­ous view on the Gold Moun­tain glac­i­ers. Though he did not man­age to realise his idea his descen­dants did: in 1897 the Ammer­erhof was solemn­ly opened in Kolm Saig­urn. And for over three gen­er­a­tions the Tomasek-Mühlthaler fam­i­ly have con­tin­ued to fill Ignaz’s dream with life.
So of course our guests are enthu­si­as­tic about the mag­nif­i­cent loca­tion and the most beau­ti­ful view. But the kind souls who con­tribute their love and pas­sion to cre­ate the Ammererhof’s spe­cial ambi­ence are the essen­tial ingre­di­ent for a hearty hos­pi­tal­i­ty just like in the begin­nings of 1897.
